NORTHBAR 059.JPG (113732 bytes) DAVE CARTER, joined Mane St. in June 1995, bringing thirty-plus years of drumming experience and showmanship. Dave is the solid driving force that always keeps the band together and dancers begging for more. Versatile in all styles of music, his humorous commentary adds just the right ingredient for a fun-filled show. Show Davey something yellow if you are looking for a smile.

scott faulkner, a West Michigan native and accomplished lead guitarist and vocalist since the mid-seventies, is the latest to join Mane St. in the spring of 2009. Scott started touring the Midwest professionally at the age of 15, and after starting Trilogy in Grand Rapids in 1976, has enjoyed a reputation of being a "musician's musician". Scott is able to sit with almost any band at a moments notice and deliver the goods on rock and roll, country, blues and jazz with equal passion. Scotts approach to life and music is to "Play it like you mean it" ..and you'll never know what's coming next when this guy turns it up and belts it out.

NORTHBAR 050.JPG (69395 bytes) JOHN POTES, is the founding member and the heart and soul of Mane St. John enjoys serving as the "Ring Master" of the band's show, and works to make every evening a pleasure for our fans. John brings twenty-plus years experience of laying down solid bass lines as well as lead and background vocals. John also handles the business side of the band. Please contact him at john@mane-st.com  for Mane St. booking information.

NORTHBAR 055.JPG (53075 bytes) JIM STANFORD has been entertaining audiences for thirty-plus years, and fronted the popular regional band "Lotta Miles" for several years. Jim is a rare multi-talent: His sturdy, well-worn voice is supported by strong guitar work, foot-stompin' fiddle, mandolin, and even keyboards every now and then. He could probably play all by himself and no one would notice the rest of the band was on break! Whether it is a soothing ballad or a smokin' rocker, Jim always gets the job done.

Scott Knecht, Sound & Lighting technician, is the fifth member of the band. Even though you don't see him on stage very often, Scott is the man that brings the art and science of sound and lights together for Mane Street. He is also a musician in his own right: If you watch real close, you may see him adding a critical fourth harmony to a tune right from the sound booth. And if you need an opinion on anything at all, Scott is your man!

Mane St. is always striving to provide their audience with Music that Matters: Great vocals combined with solid, old-school musicianship make Mane St. a not-to-miss band in the Midwest. Current hits, a solid original or two, plus classic favorites make Mane St. a band that brings rock, blues, country, and more modern music together like no other. So sit back and lend an ear or jump up and dance, but whatever you do, prepare yourself for a good ol' rock'n time with West Michigan's very own Mane St. We are here to make Music that Matters for you!

LARRY VELEY  We lost Larry on October 4th 2004. He will always be with us on stage as well as in the music we play.
